Moving is a pain... Finally got one of my trucks fixed. The 2006 had the injectors replaced so $2800.00 later its running and pretty good. The "wolf wagon" has had the front end rebuilt, $1700.00 later, but still has to have it slid back under the truck. I'm in the middle of moving and just have another 2 weeks to go before I can close and get my money. I plan on building a real nice dog kennel, hay barn, tack room and horse/mule corrals. Maybe I will video the progress and post the videos on youtube and share them here.
Hunting for a while will be hit and miss also videos. But the good news is that in the mean time before I have my new property livable I will be staying at my camp in the mountains with the hounds.. so things could be a lot worse.

Its not a bad place to stay.
PS On a side note... I really don't know if anyone actually reads this blog. If you do please leave a comment .. just a word or two to let me know .. Thanks!

Well to top everything off both.. BOTH of my trucks broke down. I have a 2002 Dodge cummins 4 wheel drive that we call the "wolf wagon" due to the jump boxes that I have on it for coyote hunting and the dog boxes behind that.. I think when I drive through town people think I'm the dog catcher. I also have a 2006 Dodge cummins 4 wheel drive that I use mainly for going to town or if I have a job somewhere I have to drive to. I don't owe anything on these trucks and my wife's 2006 Volkswagen TDI is also paid for. Several years ago I decided I wasn't going to go in debt any more and would just make due with the trucks I have. Its not that I couldn't afford a new truck its just that I see debt as something that takes away from what I really want to do. Wealth now is measured by the amount of free time I have to spend in the mountains or following the hounds. But at times I wonder if its worth it .. cost of repairs and the frustration of being broke down and not being able to get out and about. Oh well it will just be a week or so and in the mean time I borrowed my fathers truck.
I'm fortunate that I can get the hounds out right from my place. I have miles and miles of BLM so I just saddled the mule and went. It was windy and cold but the hounds liked it and after about 12 miles they are ready to lay up in their dog houses and rest. I will get them out again in the next day or two but in the mean time more loading and moving.

Well another year thats going to have to wait.. I sold my lower desert property and will be moving to another place closer to town. I believe this will be better in the long run but now for the next few months I will be busy moving. Dogs, mules and the horse will have to have facilities built also a shop and my wife is in charge of the house. I had just been approached about doing some predator control on one of the nicest ranches in Southern NM. I will still try to get out one or 2 days a week but not stay out like I had planned. Something will have to give and probably the videos. Anyway I will try to document what I can maybe even some of the moving...
